Tuesday, February 21, 2012–Day 46 Crossing the International Date Line–At Sea.

We went to bed Sunday night and woke up and it’s Tuesday morning!  We have crossed the International Date Line. We are now 19 hours ahead of Rochester and our sleep schedule is a little messed up!

Yesterday while in Pago Pago, we picked up the CEO of Holland American Lines, Stein Kruse. There was a presentation this afternoon by Mr. Kruse, Captain Mercer and Hank Mensing (hotel operations).  We were informed that last evening, a sister ship, the Seabourne, coming from Figi and heading to Pago Pago,  rescued 3 men stranded in their fishing boat.  They had been afloat in their disabled boat for the last 3 WEEKS. They were delivered safely to their hometown of Pago Pago this morning. They were sunburned and dehydrated but are doing well. Praise the Lord.
