Tonight was a formal night on the ship, along with Employee Appreciation. This in Stein Kruse, the CEO of Holland America, along with Captain Jonathan Mercer.
The staff with over 30 years of service was recognized. And the brave employees who maneuvered the tender boats at Easter Island were recognized with a standing ovation from all of the guests. Also recognized as Employee of the Month was Widi, our fun dining room friend! We have enjoyed exemplary service on the ship, but most importantly, we enjoy their friendship.

Upon returning to our room, there was a gift from Stein Kruse, beautiful votives from Tiffany & Company. What a lovely end to a spectacular day.
