What a night we hit fog about 2 am and the fog horn blew constantly and it was as though it was right in our cabin. We tiredly woke at 6:00 am to be ready to take the launch in at 7:30 only to find out because of the bad weather that we couldn’t go till almost 9:30 .
Once we finally got to shore we decided to take a tour to the Gypsy Cove were the Magellanic penguins were. We were about two weeks early and only a few had migrated there. The scenery was breath taking and the wind was fierce almost blowing us to the sea.
Looking back at the harbor were the ms Amsterdam our ship on the right and the Princess on the left.
The area has 100’s of sunken and half sunken ships in and around the horn and the Island.
Well a little shopping and back to the ship.
A couple sea days than on to Antarctica.
I love your posts even if they make me miss you more. Love to hear your adventures.
