We departed Minneapolis at 9:15am Friday, January 6th 2012, only to return to the airline gate with a hydrolic pump problem. Finally, everything was fixed and we were on our way. We arrived in Fort Lauderdale after the permitted ship boarding time, the ship was supposed to depart at 5:00 and it was 4:15 as we were waiting for our luggage! They had a van waiting and ushered us direct to the ship - no waiting in lines. Thank God for technology as we had contacted our travel agent, who in turn called the ship. Just a little bump in the road of life! We made it on the ship!
The ship has been rocking all night, not to my motion sickness delight. I started off trying a homopathic method and had to resort to Dramamine, which knocked me out. Today, we have taken part in numerous classes, including a Digital Workshop - Introduction to Photo Editing; we've enjoyed Dr. Montgomery's lectures on Dominica and and Barbados. Tomorrow is another sea day.
