Recife Brazil is Brazil’s second largest city. We ported early in the morning and hopped a shuttle to Casa da Cultura, a former prison-turned handicraft market and Cathedral Square.The guides said this would be the best place to buy craft items during the entire trip so I was pumped up! However, upon arriving was very disappointed…the price for one shirt was $180 US dollars. YIKES! Needless to say we bought very little. I got a purse made from hardwood and a music cd from a local vendor.
We finally have the MN winter so your sunshine and shorts look wonderful. I know you will be heading out for a few days to see the Iguaza (sp) Falls. Is that Thursday? Have a great time. As always - be safe. Love ya both.
