We loaded the bus for a quick tour of the town and then on to the airport to take us to Buenos Aires to catch the ship.
Our first stop was Iglesia Cathedral Basilica de Salta. Beautiful Church. 90% of the people in Argentina are Catholic. They have a display case at the front of the church for silver pieces to represent answered prayers. Here you will find silver with hearts, legs, monetary symbols, etc. In Humahuaca (the Indian Villages) they would do the same, except their silver depicted llamas, sheep, or wheat.
The second Cathedral we visited was VIB Francisco Divo.
We then flew the 2 1/2 hours (roughly 1800 miles) back to Buenos Aires, the capitol of Argentina. We toured the City of Buenos Aires with our guide Lucas Davicino.
This is the Pink House, similar to our White House. The soldiers were dressed in red and white during the war and those colors mixed together are pink, so well-a the name was created! Geniuses I say! We arrived back to the ship, which we now call home, to find many passengers were quarantined due to GI illness.
