As we’ve just passed the Equator for the second time, King Neptune (known in Greek Mythology as Poseidon) and in time-honored seafaring fashion, we attended the King Neptune Ceremony to ensure a safe passage. When Jerry was in the Navy, they also held this ceremony.
Here is King Neptune (a/k/a Brett, our activities director) along with the Captain and crew that choose to either toss the people into the sea; or allowed them to live. They would get either a thumbs up…or a thumbs down!
Either way, they were tortured, and part of the ceremony was rolling them in rotten eggs (seriously) and making them kiss a fish.
After kissing the fish, to ensure our safe passage, we went about our fun daily activities; starting with working out in the gym, then on to flag football toss; then Wii bowling.
We wrapped up our day going to supper in the formal dining room, then off to the back deck to enjoy the moon.
Another great day on the South China Sea.
Wow tortured and covered with eggs... get otta town. All these pictures are so fun. You guys playing Wii bowling makes me miss you guys so much... reminds me of being home with just you two. Miss you and love ya bunches!!
